Our team recently completed a detailed Kitchen tiling and renovation project for an apartment in Cheltenham, Melbourne. The goal of the project was simple. Give the tired kitchen area a clean modern facelift while keeping the space warm, practical and welcoming for everyday living. Sometimes a well planned renovation works like a fresh coat of confidence for a home, and this project was a perfect example of that.
Modern Kitchen Facelift With Practical Design
The existing kitchen layout already had good structure, so the renovation focused on improving appearance, functionality and finishes. New white cabinets were installed throughout the kitchen to brighten the apartment and create a cleaner modern feel. A new benchtop was fitted to provide a durable work surface with a smooth seamless finish.
One of the standout details of this project was the splashback tiling. The tile colour was carefully selected to complement the light timber flooring inside the apartment. Warm earthy tones were used to create contrast against the white cabinetry while still keeping the room balanced and inviting. The glossy finish of the splashback reflects natural light from the nearby window and adds depth to the entire kitchen area.
Tiling Repair and Finishing Details
As experienced Cheltenham tiler specialists, we understand that good renovation work is all about the details. The corners, grout lines and tile alignment were completed with precision to achieve a sharp professional finish. Several areas also required minor repair work before installation could begin, ensuring the surfaces were level and ready for long term durability.
The combination of modern cabinetry, quality tiling and carefully chosen colours gave this apartment a fresh updated character without losing warmth.
